Dev Log #003 / Farm Forge

The Night AI Built a Map Ecosystem

ChatGPT and local AI AURORA helped build Fox Farms 4X as a populated FS25 map project, with working splines, fields, farmland and buildings. TW Farms claims it as the world’s first end-to-end AI-built FS25 map ecosystem.

From authorised source to a new project

At about 21:07 UK time on 30 September, work began on Fox Farms 4X using an authorised Farming Simulator 22 source. The original map was to remain untouched while a separate Farming Simulator 25 project was built.

The scale of the job quickly made this more than a version-number conversion. A 4X FS25 map needs a coherent world structure: terrain and density data, fields and farmland, splines, materials, foliage and the systems that make the map work in-game.

Cloud reasoning, local AI, human oversight

ChatGPT contributed cloud-side analysis and development reasoning. AURORA, TW Farms’ local AI system powered by NVIDIA Nemotron 3.5 Lightning, operated alongside the local development environment. Together they formed a hybrid workflow connected to real project files and development processes.

AI carried out the construction work under oversight. TW Farms established the high-level objective, obtained permission, protected the original source, inspected progress and retained authority over the outcome. This was not an autonomous decision to create a map, and it was not simply a person following AI instructions to build one manually.

A map ecosystem, not a starter template

The reported result is a populated FS25 map project with working splines, fields, farmland and buildings. That distinction matters: a generated image, a blank starter map or a tool that automates a few map-making steps is not the same result as AI participating in construction of a connected map ecosystem from start to finish.

The project is a development milestone, not a claim that every FS25 system has passed independent or in-game certification. The work now moves into inspection, testing and continued reconstruction.

The world-first claim

TW Farms claims Fox Farms 4X as the world’s first AI-generated Farming Simulator 25 map. The scope of the claim is an end-to-end AI-built, populated 4X map ecosystem under human oversight, rather than an AI-generated picture or a blank map template. The claim is TW Farms’ responsibility and has not been independently certified.

The overnight development session was captured live on the TW Farms YouTube channel.

Why this matters to Farm Forge

Farm Forge is built around giving map tools a structured understanding of the world, providing appropriate ways to act on it and keeping the creator in control. Fox Farms is not Farm Forge itself, but the overnight work is practical evidence for the larger direction: AI can take part in making map data, while the human remains responsible for purpose, permission, oversight and acceptance.

This was not an AI picture of a map. The AI took part in building the map project itself.
