Dev Log #003 / Fox Farms 4X

Fox Farms 4X: An AI-Built Map Ecosystem

Fox Farms moved from an authorised FS22 source toward a populated FS25 4X project, with AI participating in construction of working splines, fields, farmland and buildings.

A new map, with the source protected

Work began at about 21:07 UK time on 30 September. TW Farms had permission to work from the existing Fox Farms FS22 map, with one clear rule: the original would remain preserved while a separate FS25 4X project was created.

The target was not a stretched image or a simple version conversion. A larger FS25 map meant rebuilding the framework around terrain, density maps, materials, foliage, fields, farmland, splines, traffic and the rest of the systems expected of a Farming Simulator world.

AI took part in construction

ChatGPT provided cloud-side reasoning and development support. AURORA, TW Farms’ locally running AI powered by NVIDIA Nemotron 3.5 Lightning, worked close to the local project environment. The combined workflow produced an FS25 map project rather than only advice or artwork.

The reported map ecosystem includes working splines, fields, farmland and buildings. AI carried out the construction under human oversight. TW Farms set the high-level target, secured permission, protected the source and inspected the work; it did not provide detailed directions for every map element.

What the milestone means

TW Farms claims this as the world’s first AI-generated FS25 map, specifically a populated 4X ecosystem built end-to-end by AI under human oversight. The claim is TW Farms’ responsibility, not an independently certified world record. The project is still subject to continued inspection and testing; this entry does not claim that every game system has passed a release gate.

The development session was captured live on 1 October.

A map is more than its picture. It is the connected systems that make a world work.
